PLEA TO THE EVERLIVING GOD FOR THE UNBORN

Lord God, our Eternal Father, we come to Your Throne of awe and reverence at Your Saving Power. Through our Brother ans Savior Jesus Christ, we beg You to help us stop the widespread slaughter of unborn life in our land. May our love for our innocent brothers and sisters closely resemble the love that exists in the Holy Family. Help us provide all human life with protection under our civil laws. We know that through the intercession of Our Mother Mary, Chosen Spouse of the Holy Spirit, and St. Joseph, Chosen Spouse of Mary, our request will be granted through Jesus Christ Our Lord.  AMEN

THE CONFRATERNITY OF PENITENTS

One apostolate of the Confraternity of Penitents is to pray for all human beings, from conception to natural death, that they may be respected and afforded justice and mercy. Below are prayers for life which may be printed out and distributed courtesy of the Confraternity. Thank you for fulfilling the Catholic Church's Call to penance and repentance in the modern world.

PSALM 139:13-16

You, Lord have made all the delicate, inner parts of my body,

You fabricated them in my mother's womb.

I praise You for making me so wonderfully.

I marvel at Your workmanship.

You were there while I was being formed in seclusion!

You saw my substance while it was yet imperfect,

And You registered in a book all my members,

And the days of their development.

You recorded this even before my members were formed.

PRAYER FOR RESPECT OF ALL HUMAN LIFE

Heavenly Father, Your cosmic gaze focused on dust,

And You fashioned in Your likeness every man and woman:

Give us, we beg You,

A keen eye to recognize that image,

So that respect for all human life

Becomes our way of life.

Dear Lord,

Welcome home Your children, the aborted and the abused. Those who knew no loving touch and those who knew no touch at all.

For those given no voice on earth, let them sing in Heaven. For those who saw no loving face in life, let Mary's face, the face of their true Mother, now shine upon them.

If they remember this earthly home, let them know that not all hated them, that not all rejected them. Let them know that there were those who loved the unseen children.

PRAYER OF PRESENCE AT AN ABORTION MILL

Heavenly Father,

We are gathered here to spend some time with the little babies before they die. It is important that we be here. It is a way to redeem the abandonment of Jesus by His apostles when they refused to be with Him at His death. We do not fear the Cross.

These little ones dying today are intricately connected with the sufferings and death of Our Savior. There is a bond here that must not be overlooked.

All the political action, education, donation of funds, demonstrations, alternative work, important and necessary as they are, do not make up for an absence at the death scene. Thus, our presence at this killing center is where You, God want us to be. With our rosaries and our prayers, this is our Calvary, where Christ is being crucified today in our midst.

We may not be able to save their lives, but we plead on their behalf. And should they die, as usually happens (God forgive us!), let us lift up our hearts to You on their behalf... it will be the only human love they will know on this earth...   Amen
